  • Percent Improvement

Unlike other facilities, we guarantee we can help you return to your goals. Whether you are trying to train for the Olympics, sit for an hour at work, or pick up your grandchildren without pain, we will help you! In fact, our patients recover ~20% faster than the average chiropractor.

Our staff has worked with over 10 Olympians and thousands of patients of various levels. This diverse range of patients allows our expert chiropractor to understand the big picture.

No matter your goal, our expert staff is here to help!

At your first appointment the chiropractor will perform a systematic subjective evaluation, conversing on the following topics:

• Your current problems, aches, and pains.

• Pain intensity, what aggravates and eases the problem.

• How often you feel your discomfort.

• How the discomfort changes during the day.

• If you’ve seen any other medical professionals and your experience with them.

• Your medical history.

• How this is impacting your daily activities or your functional limitations.

• Your goals with chiropractic.

• Medications, tests, and procedures related to your health.

The chiropractor will then perform the objective evaluation which may include some of the following:

• Palpation – touching around the area of the pain/problem. This is done to check for the presence of tenderness, swelling, soft tissue integrity, tissue temperature, inflammation, etc.

• Range of Motion (ROM) – the chiropractor will move the joint(s) to check for the quality of movement and any restrictions.

• Muscle Testing – the chiropractor may check for strength and the quality of the muscle contraction. Pain and weakness may be noted. Often the muscle strength is graded. This is also part of a neurological screening.

• Neurological Screening – the chiropractor may check to see how the nerves are communicating with the muscles, sensing touch, pain, vibration, or temperature. Reflexes may be assessed as well.

• Special Tests – the chiropractor may perform special tests to confirm/rule out the presence of additional problems.

• Posture Assessment – the positions of joints relative to ideal and each other may be assessed.

Unlike other facilities, we don’t overly test our patients, especially on their first day, ensuring no soreness or worsening of symptoms.

After this initial evaluation, we start helping you feel better, starting the first day!

Although our staff has worked with numerous Olympic athletes, our staff specializes in many conditions, both sports and non-sports related.

We find, having a broad scope allows us to see the big picture, as every person is an athlete and every athlete is a person.

COR is, without a doubt, one of the best things I have done for myself. I started COR 5 years back and since then, I have pushed myself both physically and mentally to limits I could not have imagined – and I have certainly reaped the rewards.

COR helped my back go from excruciating pain to being able to hike and exercise again. I can’t thank COR enough! If you’re in pain, this is the first place to go!

Lulia Carmello COR Review

Dr. Sam is not only a great professional but one can tell from the first interaction that he really cares about you as a person! What really blew me away was how he goes the extra mile for his patients.

My husband got into a pretty bad accident and we found COR online for his PT. It had good stars so we decided to try it! We LOVED IT! Dr. Erin is awesome, attentive and dedicated. He is so much stronger and we are very happy after every session. I would definitely recommend to anybody!
Lauren Rice

I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent in PT at COR. I had the pleasure of receiving treatment from Erin. Every session was very helpful. I went from not being able to walk with my body properly aligned, not being able to run, having difficulty with ankle mobility, to running, taking 5 mile hikes and enjoying the use of my ankle again!

As an athlete, I was looking for physical therapy that would address my concerns and take me to the next level. After working with Dr. Sam for a number of sessions, I am pleased to report that I am finally back to doing all the activities that I want to, and more!

John Mullen is a terrific physiotherapist. He works exceptionally well with adolescents by making them feel comfortable, heard and valued. If your child is dealing with an injury you want them to see John.

Bill Bradley

COR Physical Therapy Dr. John Mullen diagnosed and treated me for shoulder pain. Very professional with great explanations, instructions for home exercises in addition to office treatments and massages that got my shoulder back in pain-free shape. Highly recommend COR!

Catharine Geoke

Dr. Sam is super awesome. You can tell he genuinely cares about your personal improvement from week to week and has the knowledge to trouble shoot your issues. He always makes me feel comfortable, and is super friendly, which is a plus while he’s causing me terrible pain for my benefit.

I really enjoyed getting physical therapy at the Cor facility. Dr. Erin was great, knowledgeable and very personable. She made me very comfortable and explained my diagnosis very well. I would recommend Cor to all my friends and family.

5 stars for the trainers and physical therapists at Cor. Starting a year ago in April I figured I would give it a month, see how it goes. Almost a year later and 212 classes total, you could say I am enjoying it. With mixes of cardio and weights you get a little bit of everything, not too much of the same.

Gennady Farber

they put me back onto the proper ‘bending” shape in no time. Thank you.

I went to COR for a hamstring tendonitis injury from rock climbing. Dr. Erin Cameron taught me the right exercises, stretches, and how to use deep tissue massage as therapy. She put me on a path to recovery, and I could clearly feel results from our sessions. My climbing recovered, and I’m able to use these techniques for continued improvement.

Dr. John gave me the instruction on how to swim differently given a shoulder injury, and to avoid further injury.

Jaspreet Singh

Dr. Sam is great. Helped me a lot with my knee.

Its the best place in Santa Clara for your physical and mental well being. Boot camp is all well planned according to specific needs of clients. Must join it and experience it urself. Specially evening batch. I love that .. miss u John, Mike , Chris and all buddies..

This is a great place for both your medical conditions as well as group workouts. I first visited COR when I had ankle sprain. What makes COR special is the care and attention you get from your doctor. After completing my sessions I joined COR fitness classes. It’s similar to CrossFit except for the risk of injury.

Mahesh Reghupathy

I started consulting Dr John for a rotator cuff injury that was troubling me for many months. After the first few visits, I started seeing, significant benefits. In about 3 months, I had regained almost the full range of motion for my shoulder. Dr John is highly professional, skilled, friendly and understanding.

By far the best of physical therapy and personal training. I couldn’t be happier with my results.

COR definitely stands out from the traditional physical therapy facility. John and Erin really care about improving their patients and helping them get back to whatever sport or activity they are working back towards.

Josh Tolland

I was lucky enough to be recommended to the COR team by a co-worker almost 1 year ago after a 5 year battle with a low back injury post motor vehicle accident. The team at COR got me out of pain in 2 weeks and more importantly taught me how to maintain a healthy Spine and Body on my own. Thank you COR.

COR is a daily part of my life. I start my mornings at the 5:30 am boot camp where I want to show up at that crazy hour because the supportive co-members make it fun; the expertise of the BC leaders challenge our bodies & sometimes our minds and over all I feel better that I have gone. Great community to get fit with!

I am going there and Trainer John is very kind and helpful.!!!

5 stars! Everyone in and out of the office is always in a good mood. Clean!! Seriously, best staff, patients, clients, and memories! It is the best place to workout and receive rehab in Santa Clara 🙂

As a previous collegiate swimmer, and current open water swimmer, I’ve had consistent shoulder pain throughout my career. I’ve been receiving physical therapy for this ongoing shoulder pain and can honestly say, these sessions have SAVED my shoulder and posture. I am now pain and stress free during my workouts and sitting all day at work.
