At your first appointment appointment
The chiropractor will perform a systematic subjective evaluation, conversing on the following topics:
• Your current problems, aches, and pains.
• Pain intensity, what aggravates and eases the problem.
• How often you feel your discomfort.
• How the discomfort changes during the day.
• If you’ve seen any other medical professionals and your experience with them.
• Your medical history.
• How this is impacting your daily activities or your functional limitations.
• Your goals with chiropractic.
• Medications, tests, and procedures related to your health.
The chiropractor will then perform the objective evaluation which may include some of the following:
• Palpation – touching around the area of the pain/problem. This is done to check for the presence of tenderness, swelling, soft tissue integrity, tissue temperature, inflammation, etc.
• Range of Motion (ROM) – the chiropractor will move the joint(s) to check for the quality of movement and any restrictions.
• Muscle Testing – the chiropractor may check for strength and the quality of the muscle contraction. Pain and weakness may be noted. Often the muscle strength is graded. This is also part of a neurological screening.
• Neurological Screening – the chiropractor may check to see how the nerves are communicating with the muscles, sensing touch, pain, vibration, or temperature. Reflexes may be assessed as well.
• Special Tests – the chiropractor may perform special tests to confirm/rule out the presence of additional problems.
• Posture Assessment – the positions of joints relative to ideal and each other may be assessed.
Unlike other facilities, we don’t overly test our patients, especially on their first day, ensuring no soreness or worsening of symptoms.
After this initial evaluation, we start helping you feel better, starting the first day!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent in PT at COR. I had the pleasure of receiving treatment from Erin. Every session was very helpful. 5 stars for the trainers and physical therapists at Cor. Starting a year ago in April I figured I would give it a month, see how it goes. Almost a year later and 212 classes total, you could say I am enjoying it. With mixes of cardio and weights you get a little bit of everything, not too much of the same.

I went to COR for a hamstring tendonitis injury from rock climbing. Dr. Erin Cameron taught me the right exercises, stretches, and how to use deep tissue massage as therapy. She put me on a path to recovery, and I could clearly feel results from our sessions. My climbing recovered, and I’m able to use these techniques for continued improvement.

This is a great place for both your medical conditions as well as group workouts. I first visited COR when I had ankle sprain. What makes COR special is the care and attention you get from your doctor. After completing my sessions I joined COR fitness classes. It’s similar to CrossFit except for the risk of injury.
I started consulting Dr John for a rotator cuff injury that was troubling me for many months. After the first few visits, I started seeing, significant benefits. In about 3 months, I had regained almost the full range of motion for my shoulder. Dr John is highly professional, skilled, friendly and understanding.

As a previous collegiate swimmer, and current open water swimmer, I’ve had consistent shoulder pain throughout my career. I’ve been receiving physical therapy for this ongoing shoulder pain and can honestly say, these sessions have SAVED my shoulder and posture.
